This course is designed to develop students skills in applying and critically reviewomg basic quantitative research methods. Topics will include analysis of descriptive, correlational and experimental studies, followed by an extensive presentation of the main qualitative research methods, including case studies, ethnographic studies, grounded theory research, life history studies, phenomenological studies, and participatory action research. Students will also learn data gathering methods such as observation, interviewing, and analysis of archival materials.
