You can now link your ORCID account with your Rowan NetID, making it easier to validate your professional identity, keep track of your scholarly activity and log in to ORCID–the Open Research and Collaborator ID system.
This new systems integration from University Libraries and Information Resources & Technology allows Rowan faculty, students, and staff to connect their NetID with an existing ORCID account or to create a new ORCID account directly linked to their Rowan identity by visiting https://orcid.rowan.edu.
Those of you who already have ORCIDs know that it can help you with:
Applying for grant funding
Submitting articles for publication
Tracking your scholarly activity
Distinguishing yourself from other researchers with similar names.
By linking to your NetID, you can log in to ORCID using Rowan’s single sign-on system *and* post a Rowan-verified statement of your employment to your ORCID record, which will make it easier for you to:
Apply to Rowan University Libraries’ Open Access Publication Fund
Gain access to restricted data repositories by verifying your research affiliation
Document your scholarly activity for other Rowan systems.
Rowan University is an institutional member of the ORCID-US Consortium. To learn more about ORCID please visit https://go.rowan.edu/orcid or ask us questions at librarysupport@rowan.edu.
