Commencement Week 2022 kicks off on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Richard Wackar Stadium, with a grand, festive University ceremony complete with live music, inspirational speakers, the conferral of student degrees, and, afterward, a party for students, families and friends. Students can enjoy Commencement with their closest friends throughout their graduating class rather than those in just their majors. Following the University ceremony and celebration, the college ceremonies will return to the tent on the University Green in front of Bunce Hall from Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13. 

Please consider working the University commencement ceremony and celebration on Saturday, May 7, in addition, to the college ceremonies throughout the week. The University Commencement Ceremony and Celebration is an extraordinary event, as such, we will offer comp time in accordance with policy and collective bargaining agreements to all non-management employees. Employees should volunteer during their normal work schedule or have their schedules adjusted if at all possible. Employees are required to obtain supervisor approval. Supervisors can reach out to University Events to verify if the employee did work at the time requested. Inclement weather days have been held for Sunday, May 8 for the University Commencement Ceremony & Celebration, as well as, Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20 for the College Ceremonies. University Events ask staff who sign up to work each ceremony remain flexible in the case of inclement weather.
