Observatory open houses are back in person! Join the Edelman Planetarium on September 23 from 8:30 - 10 pm in our observatory to gaze at the stars through our telescopes.
Observe the evening sky through telescopes during our Observatory Open House nights. Astronomy faculty and club members are on-site at the observatory on the 4th floor of Science Hall to operate the telescopes and guide visitors to view objects in the night sky. Join us in person or watch live on YouTube, Facebook, or register for the ZOOM meeting.
Our solar system will be on display this month with targets including Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Also visible are the Ring Nebula, the double star Albireo, the Andromeda galaxy, and the Moon.
Registration and a brief health screening are required for all visitors attending in person. Weather calls are posted by 2:00 pm on the day of the open house.
Registration links are available on our website: https://sites.rowan.edu/planetarium/observatory/index.html.
