Exploring the theme of Politics, the Rowan Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and the Office of Social Justice, Inclusion, and Conflict Resolution invites you to the Book Club discussion of Fascism: A Warning by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (2018).

Especially relevant and timely, this work is a personal and urgent examination of Fascism in the twentieth century and how its legacy shapes today's world - written by one of America's most admired public servants, the first woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of State. Fascism: A Warning is a book for our times that is relevant to all times. This vital historical study elucidates how politics, aesthetic, chaos, populism, and power must be carefully watched and scrutinized.

You may pick up your free copy of the book at the main office of SJICR in Hawthorn. The RCHGS Book Club was designed to exchange ideas, share opinions, and explore a main theme that makes connections and opens up bigger questions. Everyone is encouraged to read the book, but all are welcome to join even if you have not read! Please join us for our first meeting on Wednesday 12 September 2018 from 12:30-1:30 in Hawthorn 204. Lunch will be provided.

~ 10 October:              Section I    (pp. 1-94) 

~ 14 November:          Section II   (pp. 95-168)

~ 5 December:            Section II   (pp. 169-254)
